Dumbledore's Army and The Alchemist's Secret - 4. All Aboard the Hogwarts Express

It was just as he wished it to be. Albus always wanted to see what it looked like inside the Hogwarts Express. James would rant on and on about the chilled pumpkin juice, variety of sweets and pastries aboard Hogwarts express that the plump witch with the trolley brought. He would also show off the photographs that he took in the train and at the school with his friends. Harry had given James a camera for his eleventh birthday and James developed a mania for photography. Now, his room was filled with photos of little moving people waving their wands, laughing and holding broomsticks. James played as the Keeper for Griffindor’s Quidditch team and guffawed whenever Albus tried to get on a broomstick. Somehow, Albus never got the hold of a broomstick and James silently taunted him of not having what he called a ‘Family Skill’. So, Albus never asked his parents for a broomstick and his parents too never insisted on giving him a broomstick. He decided that he would get one afte...

Dumbledore's Army and The Alchemist's Secret - 3. After 19 Years (Epilogue)

THIS IS JK ROWLINGS EPILOGUE COMPLETELY.. JUST ADDED AS A LINK TO MY NEXT CHAPTER.. Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first of September was crisp as an apple, and as the little family bobbed across the rumbling road toward the great sooty station, the fumes of car exhausts and the breath of pedestrians sparkled like cobwebs in the cold air. Two large cages tattled on top of the laden trolleys the parents were pushing; the owls inside them hooted indignantly, and the redheaded girl trailed tearfully behind her brothers, clutching her father's arm. "It won't be long, and you'll be going too," Harry told her. "Two years," sniffed Lily. "I want to go now!" The commuters stared curiously at the owls as the family wove its way toward the barrier between platforms nine and ten, Albus's voice drifted back to Harry over the surrounding clamour; his sons had resumed the argument they had started in the ...

Dumbledore's Army and The Alchemist's Secret - 2. Number 12, Grimmauld Place

It was almost the middle of the night and soft silence hung around at Number 12, Grimmauld Place. After the war, Harry made so many changes to the house that it was almost unrecognizable now. Dean had helped in remodeling the whole place and it turned out that he was so good an architect that he was given the task of rebuilding the parts of Hogwarts that were damaged in the war. The family portraits of the Blacks were removed and so was their furniture. The kitchen was turned into Harry’s study and the second floor was expanded magically and made an indoor Quidditch pitch for Ginny to practice at home. The first floor now housed six bedrooms and the ground floor held a kitchen, drawing room and a small hallway. Only when the three storied house looked as inviting as The Burrow did Harry agree to move in and start a family. Ginny rechristened the place as Fawkes Crest since she thought the whole house was reborn after being almost razed down. After the kids arrived, Ginny had t...

Dumbledore's Army and The Alchemists Secret - 1. The Potters

‘Harry, Kingsley is here!’ called Ginny as she opened the door to let Kingsley Shacklebolt in. ‘I am coming, coming. Just a minute’ called Harry back as he hurried to the living room tucking his wand inside his pocket. ‘He has been up all night, Kingsley. You have been keeping him so busy with work’, complained Ginny as she served tea and hot scones to Kingsley. ‘Its not me, Ginny dear. Its just Harry. He has been working like a maniac round the clock’, said Kingsley sipping the tea. Harry chuckled a little as Ginny forced a scone into his hand and started filling his cup with tea. This was the third Sunday in a row when he was expected to go to work and Ginny wasn’t pleased about it. ‘So what’s our Egyptian Counterparts saying?’ asked Harry accepting the tea cup from Ginny. ‘Same as usual. They found signs of dark magic. So they believe that Jamal Ud-Din is involved. They want us to help them catch him, since they believe that all the dark stuff he smu...
